Above and beyond tour!!!!
Garry thank you so much for the awesome trip. It was the highlight of our weekend getaway! You went above and beyond when you kept us out to see the orcas! That was a breathtaking experience to say the least. Can’t wait to do the grizzly tour in the fall. Sure it will not disappoint! WE highly recommend your tour operation. I would much rather tour with someone born and raised in the region than with companies from other countries. Keep up the good work! Till we meet again.
Nice Intro to the Inland Passage
It has been a while since I joined Aboriginal Journeys on a boat tour circumnavigation of Quadra Island but it left a stong impression with me. Knowledgable and able captain with comfortable boat wandering about in spectacular scenery combines to make a very memorable excursion.
A truly memorable and remarkable experience!
This nature and wildlife excursion, was an experience that i will treasure in my memory for as long as I live, and my 9 year old daughter was there to experience and enjoy the same. We were able to see a Momma Orca and her two sons just running in there natural habitat, as it was intended to be for thousands of years. Garry was not only Captain but a wonderful and witty host. Kept us on our toes as he enlightened us with his years of knowledge and experience. I would highly recommend for everyone to experience the wonder of nature under the guidance of an “Aboriginal Journeys: Wildlife Viewing and Adventure Tours”. This is the only non invasive way to experience seeing these amazing, magnificent creatures! Garry I tip my hat to you with admiration and respect. Warm Regards,
What a brilliant excursion, Garry has more information and experience than you can possibly remember! We were extremely lucky and saw seals, bears, eagles, dolphins, porpoise and the unforgettable orcas. I can not recommend this tour enough. Thank you Garry!!!! We travelled with an 82 year old disabled passenger and was more than taken care of.
Great Day Viewing Grizzlies
We booked the Grizzly tour with Aboriginal Journeys and had a great day viewing about 12 bears. The tour was well organized and well executed. They even found some orca for us on the way back. One thing my wife and I often still talk about is how good the sandwich was they supplied for lunch.
This tour is a must see for Vancouver island ! Well worth the money. The sights are beautiful, the staff is friendly and they go way out of their way to give you lasting memories and gorgeous pictures. I would highly recommend this tour to family and friends and will likely go again in the future!
Having had several wonderful Grizzly Bear viewing trips with this company and as I was in the area, I decided to go for an early season wildlife viewing trip without too much expectation that much would be around. WRONG! Gary sure knows where it all is and how to find it. Several hours of Killer Whale (Orca) viewing, not to mention all sorts of beautiful waterfalls, running high in the start of the spring run-off, all sorts of sea birds, seals, sea-lions, pacific white sided dolphins etc. If it’s there this man will find it, he is determined to give his guests a wonderful experience.
Wow I just can’t say enough about the wonderful day my family had…it was an amazing tour!!! The wildlife was awesome…LOVE the Orcas!!! Garry is a great tour guide…he really knows his stuff…you can tell he really cares about the animals the area and his guests!
Great Grizzly Tour
We went to see Grizzly Bears and that’s what we got ! At one stage there ten bears in view including mother and triplets right up close. And we saw another mother and cub at a further location. This is a small friendly and personal company; flexible when they can be and went out of their way to include sea-life on the trip. Be aware that you need to cross back to the mainland to see the bears and that is 2-3 hrs by boat depending on what happy distractions of sea lions, seals, birds etc that you come across. The tour includes a basic but enjoyable lunch of sandwiches, drinks and fruit. Highly recommended !
Best Day Out in Canada – Grizzly Bears and Cubs
A friend and I went out with Garry on 15th October and what a day. Wonderful scenery and wildlife including bear cubs being taught by their Mums. Felt like we were in a David Attenborough documentary but it was REAL LIFE! Garry makes the day so easy, spotting birds (including a seagull no less), seals and porpoise on the journey out and back, he is so well informed and laid back, and talking to Cal, our 1st Nations guide, gave me a different perspective on bears and people that will last a lifetime. Even though we went on to see Polar bears a week later and Niagara after that this really was the best day out I had and I will definitely be recommending this one
